9-Day The Holy Land Tours

Day 1 (Departure): Today we embark on our Journey to the Holy Land. Prepare yourself for a life-changing experience. Get some rest on the flight…tomorrow you will be walking where Jesus walked!

Day 2 (Arrival in Israel): Arrival at Tel-Aviv International Airport where you will be greeted by our staff (the representatives of Sabra Travel tours and your tour guide who will accompany you during your entire stay in Israel.) you will then board a deluxe motorcoach to take you to
Tiberias (on the sea of Galilee) where you can unwind, have dinner, relax, and spend the night in a beautiful hotel after the long flight. Enjoy a time of prayer of thanks for safety and the special blessings ahead, a prayer for the people of this blessed land, and a good night’s rest.

Day 3 (The Galilee): After breakfast, you will board the motorcoach to visit areas in the region surrounding the Sea of Galilee. The day includes time spent in Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. In Nazareth, you will also visit the Annunciation Church and Mary’s Well. Mary’s Well is significant as the likely spot at which Mary would have fetched water on a regular basis, bringing Jesus, as a boy, along with her. Afterward, you will go to your hotel and have dinner.

Day 4 (Nazareth): After breakfast, we shall visit the Nazareth Village, a fantastic revisitation to Biblical times with inhabitants of the village in ancient costume; the Synagogue, where Jesus first learned, prayed and later preached as a young man; and the Old Market, offering a wide variety of stores and merchandise. In the afternoon we visit Mount Carmel for a panoramic view and where Elijah challenged King Ahab and the prophets of Baal. Back to lovely Nazareth for dinner and after dinner, you will have another surprise waiting for you!

Day 5 (North): After breakfast, we will head up to the northern part of Israel starting with Hazor, the largest and richest archeological site in Israel. Drive along the coastal road to Banias / Caesarea, an ancient Mediterranean city halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa . In New Testament times, Caesarea served as the major seaport of Judea; also the place of Paul’s imprisonment for two years, before his journey to Rome and where Jesus asked His disciples who people were saying He was. On to the Syrian border and we will then head back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6 (South): Leaving Nazareth we travel to a unique site where Jesus performed the miracle healing the 10 Lepers. Next, we will drive through historic villages to arrive in Shekem (the last tribe of the Jews, The Samaritans, is located here.) We will enjoy lunch there, and afterward, the motorcoach takes us to the Qumran caves. Located on the western shore of the Dead Sea, many ancient manuscripts have been found here including the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Psalm Scroll, and Temple Scroll. Next we proceed to Ein Gedi, “Spring of the Goat,” an oasis on the western shore of the Dead Sea known for fragrant plants. King David hid himself from Saul here, and is also the site where God overcame the enemies of the Israelites by praise and worship led by King Jehoshaphat. We will have dinner and overnight lodging here.

Day 7 (Jerusalem): Jerusalem, the most holy city in Judaism, became the birthplace of Early Christianity in the 1st century CE. According to the New Testament, it is the location of the Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ. It was in Jerusalem that the Apostles of Christ received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. After breakfast, we will start our day by driving to Bethlehem and visiting the Church of the Nativity, Shepherd’s Field and the souvenir shop there. Originally a small village on the road from Jerusalem to Hebron, Many believe the site of Shepherd’s Field to be the place where angels of the Lord visited the shepherds to announce the birth of Israel’s King and Savior. Here also you will find the tomb of Rachel. After Lunch you will go back to Jerusalem to Yad Vashem and then to the hotel and dinner.

Day 8 (Jerusalem): After breakfast, we will visit the Jewish Quarter in the Old City, where you may find the “broad wall” that is mentioned in Isaiah 22 and Nehemiah 3; a “window” into the period of the First Temple. Also Cardo, whose ruins lead into a covered shopping street which
houses many Jewish shops. Towards the end of the shops, there are excavations from the first temple period. Continuing on this street will lead to the Arab market and then to the Damascus gate just as in old days. The Herodian Quarter, the largest roofed archaeological site in Israel, encompasses over 2700 square meters and the remains of 6-7 large houses from the second temple period. After lunch, you will visit the Tomb of King David. This is believed to be located beneath the Upper Room, where Jesus met with his disciples shortly before his arrest and ate the Passover supper (the Last Supper). Then experience a panoramic view from Armon Hanatsiv. According to Jewish tradition, this is where Abraham came within a hair’s breadth of sacrificing his beloved son Isaac. After dinner, see Jerusalem by night – a beautiful sight. (The Jerusalem by night is optional for $35 per person).

Day 9 DEPARTURE: You will be transferred to Ben Gurion Airport and our representative will help you through your formalities. Departure flight. Arrive home in the USA with memories that will last for a lifetime and with plans to return and bring others back to experience God’s Holy Land.

10- Day Tour Of The Holy Land

Day 9 (Jerusalem): After breakfast, you will take a tour in and about the Mount of Olives. Jesus taught his disciples about the “end times” while seated on the Mount of Olives. We will visit the Garden of Gethsemane. After the Passover meal with His disciples, Jesus engaged in fervent prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was here also that Judas betrayed Jesus to temple authorities. Next, we head towards the Old City and visit the Pool of Bethesda. According to tradition, many of the sick in Jerusalem waited for healing by means of a periodic angelic visitation. Jesus performed a great miracle here on a man who had been lame for 38 years. Via Dolorosa. (Latin: ‘way of pain’), is the traditional pilgrimage route in Jerusalem commemorating Jesus’ journey to the cross. This present route consists of two devotional stops near the Ecce Homo arch, seven outside leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (ancient tradition places Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection over this site), and five inside the church itself. After lunch, you will visit Mount Zion and Saint Peters (Kiafa House). And a visit to the Garden Tomb; the site accords with the biblical data of the area where Jesus was buried. It is presently a beautiful garden park, where many Christian groups take time to commune with God. You will then return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 10 (Departure): You will be transferred to Ben Gurion Airport and our representative will help you through your formalities. Departure flight. Arrive home in the USA with memories that will last for a lifetime and with plans to return and bring others back to experience God’s Holy Land.

Nain (where the Miracle of the dead boy took place, (Luke 7:11-17)) and Mt. Tabor, (the sight of the Transfiguration of Christ) before going to our lodging for the evening and dinner.

Day 8 (The Dead Sea and Bethlehem): Today we depart Ein Gedi and head to Masada, a massive rocky outcrop in the Judean Desert 2km from the shore of the Dead Sea and the site of the most dramatic act in Jewish history when Jewish rebels elected mass suicide rather than submit to Roman capture in 73 A.C.; then through the desert to Hebron. This city is most notable for containing the traditional burial sites of the biblical patriarchs and matriarchs and is therefore considered the second-holiest city in Judaism after Jerusalem. Then on to Jerusalem via Bethlehem, the town where Jesus was born and is also known as the City of David, as David was both born and anointed there. You will spend the night in Jerusalem and have dinner there.
